Columbus, Ohio - Muscroft started serious ballet training with Ms Shir Lee Wu at ages 6 ½. Her talent was immediately recognized by Wu. After studying ballet with Wu for 7 years, Courtney was accepted to School of American Ballet (SAB) as a merit scholarship student in 2002. Courtney has been awarded a gold medal at the 2002 YAGP NYC Final Competition. Her talent and Wu’s mentoring have allowed her to continue vigorous training at SAB. Courtney was eventually recognized by NYCB Ballet Master and Chief/ Artistic Director, Peter Martin, and has been promoted to be NYCB Corp de Ballet. Courtney Muscroft is a daughter of Worthington resident Melinda and Jim Muscroft.
